In this network calls are made between systems over the corporate IP network with
fallback to the PSTN when IP trunks are congested or customer set QoS Thresholds are
exceeded. Configuration allows for cost savings by using the corporate IP network whenever
possible , thereby bypassing PSTN toll charges

In this network calls are made between a central Meridian 1 w/ ITG card installed
and two smaller sites with Enterprise Edge systems connected via a corporate IP
network. The branch locations access the PSTN using IP trunks from the head office
This configuration allows for cost savings by consolidating the public access trunks and using
the corporate IP network whenever possible , thereby bypassing PSTN toll charges for
inter-company communication
