WEEK 1: Straight and Curved Lines – I can show straight and curved lines in my
picture.
WEEK 2: Vertical and Horizontal Lines – I can show vertical and horizontal lines
in my pictures.
WEEK 3: Shapes – Square, Circle, Triangle, and Oval – I can draw a picture using
a square, a circle, a triangle, and an oval.
WEEK 4: Texture – I can do a picture showing texture.
WEEK 5: Primary Colors - I can do a picture using only primary colors.
WEEK 6: Secondary Colors – I can do a picture using only secondary colors.
WEEK 7: Primary and Secondary Colors with Stencils – I can do a picture using
stencils.
WEEK 8: Narrative – I can do a picture and tell a story about it.
WEEK 9: Emphasis (Size) – I can do a picture emphasizing size.
WEEK 10: Emphasis (Color) – I can do a picture with color for emphasis.
WEEK 11: Symmetry/Balance in People – I can do a portrait showing symmetry.
WEEK 12: Colonial Quilt – I can design a quilt square.

Week 23: Contrast (Black and White) – I can show the contrast of black and white.
WEEK 24: Contrast (Textures) – I can show the contrast of smooth and rough
textures.
WEEK 25: Landscape – I can do a landscape picture.
