Bike Program Coordinator - CASCADE CAMPUS ASPCC
Position Purpose:
To work with students and student leaders to maintain, rent and promote
Bike Program services. Coordinate student mechanics and volunteer
mechanics.
Qualifications & Responsibilities:
Three to four years minimum bike maintenance experience. Previous
professional work experience in a bike shop strongly preferred.
Organizational skills, record keeping, budget experience, ability to
communicate with a wide variety of students and delegation skills required.
Attend all weekly General Council meetings.
Position Overview
Principle Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
 Supervise bike mechanics and provide hands on instruction and support where necessary, maintaining a high
level of safety and professionalism, conducting repairs and service when needed
 Make appointments with participants of the program to complete required cycle maintenance
 Maintain records and track student participants in rental and service programs
 Troubleshoot situations involving stolen or damaged bikes in cooperation with other campus offices (Public
Safety, the Deans of Students)
 Promote the Cascade Bike Program by tabling, and creative advertising campaigns (web and print)
 Purchase parts and tools as needed and maintain an inventory and budget
 Provide safety and theft prevention instruction in one-on-one and group settings, maintain the resource wall
with maps and other information
 Create and foster relationships with bike-focused organizations both in and outside of the PCC community (BTA,
Cascade Cycling Club, Shift, local bike shops)
 Participate as a member of the ASPCC team
 Establish and maintain consistent and regular office hours
 Work on special projects requiring all staff, i.e. welcome back week, $1 BBQ, book exchange
Other:
 Attend all mandatory leadership activities
 Attend meetings and support Veteran Activities at PCC
 Other duties as assigned
Requirements & Compensation
Requirements:
Serve from July 1, 2015 through June 15, 2016
Have and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or above
Successfully complete at least 6 PCC credits per term employed
Work up to 10 hours per week Fall, Winter and Spring terms
Sign up for a required leadership course during Fall Term
Salary:
$9.75/hour

Interviews will be held in May 2015 for 2015-2016 Leadership Team. If hired, June 18th and June 19h from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM will be
mandatory training/retreat. Other mandatory training dates will be provided at interview.
