Our Mission: The mission of Sudlersville Elementary School is to educate and enlighten each of our students through an engaging curriculum and high expectations (for behavior and achievement) by dedicated teachers and staff with support of parents and the extended community.
Our Vision: A graduate of Queen Anne's County Public Schools will be well-educated globally competitive and prepared to become a caring, productive citizen of the 21st century.
Welcome back to a new school year! The summers go very quickly and before you know it, we are back to school. I would like to thank you for the support you have provided the staff and me.
As we approach the 2015-2016 school year, I would like to inform you of some changes. This year, classes will be self-contained. This means that flexible grouping will be done in the classrooms, and students will not transfer to a literacy block teacher. Our school improvement team found that we were losing some valuable instructional time during changing of classes, and the flexible grouping within the classroom will be a priority this school year.
We also have a few staff changes. Ms. Alma Davis (White) will be teaching 2nd grade this year. Mrs. Kelly Embert will be teaching 2nd
grade this school year. We will have four 2nd grade classes this year. Mrs. Jennifer Boulay will be teaching 4th grade this school year. We will also have a new computer lab assistant this year. We will
have a new teacher specialist. Ms. Susan Davis will be the teacher
luck in their roles.
We are excited to see the students! You may meet your child's teacher on August 28th 2:00-2:30 for our Meet and Greet activity. We have set
aside this time so that teachers can have time in their classrooms
earlier in the week. Please be mindful and respectful of their time and
join us on the 28th at 2:00 for an informal meeting.
Be ready! We have lots to accomplish. We want our students performing at their best levels. This takes dedication from the students, parents, and the SES staff. "It takes a village to raise a child," said Hillary Clinton. We want our community of learners to be ready for college and the 21st Century workforce. The face of education is evolving. Students need to be effective communicators, as well as, scientifically, mathematically, and technologically literate in order to answer complex questions and investigate global issues. We have a challenge that we can accomplish! Let's pull together and make sure we do all we can do for our children!! I will see you soon!

I am happy to be teaching kindergarten at SES. There is always excitement as children learn new things. So that I may have effective communication with each parent, I will be using an online resource called "Class DoJo".
