outside of the UGA Miracle office (inside of the Greek Life Office in the bottom floor of the Tate Plaza) as soon as your
application has been turned in. Late applications and interview sign-ups will not be accepted. Make sure you turn in your
application as early as possible so you can secure an interview time that fits your schedule.

Joining UGA Miracle’s Executive Board is more than fulfilling the duties of your specific position. What do you

NEXT STEPS AND EXECUTIVE BOARD REQUIREMENTS

After completing this application, please remember to sign up for a 30 minute interview outside of the UGA Miracle
office. Interview times are as follows and will take place in the Greek Life Office’s Conference Room unless noted
otherwise:
 Tuesday, March 27th from 3-9 PM
 Wednesday, March 28th from 3-9 PM
 Thursday, March 29th from 3-9 PM
 Friday, March 30th from 1-8 PM
 Sunday, April 1st from 3-9 PM
 Monday, April 2nd from 3-9 PM
 Tuesday, April 3rd from 3-6 PM
In addition to this interview, there will be a group activity as part of the interview process that will take place on
Tuesday, April 3rd. You must commit to one of the two following timeslots as well for this activity: 6-7
PM or 7-8 PM. Applicants who do not commit to one of these two time slots and do not discuss any conflicts with
the Executive Council will be dropped from consideration.
If selected to the executive board, the following time commitments and expectations will be required:
 Weekly meetings every Wednesday at 6:15 starting April 4th and every Sunday at 8 PM starting in the spring
of 2013.
o We start at the aforementioned time; do not be late.
o Have a notebook dedicated to Miracle and pen on hand
 Attendance at the executive board retreat from Saturday, April 14th to Sunday morning of April 15th.
 An Executive Board hospital visit on Tuesday May 1st (Reading Day)
 Represent UGA Miracle and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta with the utmost integrity at all time
 Serve this executive board- The average workload is 90% Exec, 10% your position
 Respond to all emails, phone calls, and texts in a timely manner
o If you don’t have Gmail yet, get it!
o Don’t sit on your opinions, voice them!
 Attendance at UGA Miracle sponsored events
o Attend 100% of the events that we put on
o Attend 75% of the events that another organization puts on for us
 Hold 2 weekly office hours with your co-chair (if you have one) and keep our office clean
 Have a personal fundraising total of at least $1000 by Dance Marathon 2013
 Attendance at the fall Exec Retreat (weekend of September 8th)

EXECUTIVE BOARD POSITION DESCRIPTIONS
Positions with a (*) have a committee they are responsible for to assist in their duties
Business Relations Co-chair*: The Business Relations chairs create lasting relationships with local and regional businesses
and use these relationships to create beneficial exchanges for both parties. This specifically includes getting sponsors to give inkind donations and attend our special events such as Tour of Homes and Dance Marathon.
Community Outreach Co-chair*: Community Outreach chairs communicate with the high schools currently involved in
fundraising and mini-marathons for UGA Miracle, plan and execute these mini-marathons alongside the high school students
and committee, and contact new high schools to promote fundraising and service efforts for our cause.
Entertainment Chair: The Entertainment chair serves as the point of contact for all entertainment groups our organization
works with and hosts throughout the year and works closely with the Internal team to plan the Dance Marathon schedule.
Family Relations Co-chair*: The objective of Family Relations is to serve as the main point of contact between our
organization and the families we benefit by building relationships with the Miracle families and updating them on the different
events we host. Specifically, Family Relations chairs contact the Miracle families throughout the year, operate a committee that
builds relationships with and hosts the families at Dance Marathon, plan and execute Family Days, and works with the Internal
team to plan the Dance Marathon schedule.
Fundraising Co-chair*: The Fundraising chairs work to help each team member raise their personal fundraising total through
our Letter Writing Campaign, canning nights, working concession stands, & other special events. A major part of this position is
coming up with new and innovative ideas to raise money for personal totals and for the organization as a whole.
Hospital Relations Co-chair*: The Hospital Relations chairs serve as the liaison between our organization and the hospital.
Specifically, they provide inspiration to other committees in meetings, coordinate hospital visits for their committee, including
Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, and encourage patients in the CIRU through games, crafts, and other themed visits.
Media Chair*: The Media chair along with his or her committee creates all graphics and flyers used during the UGA Miracle
year, takes photographs at all special events, creates promotional videos for the organization, and makes the year-end
magazine released at Dance Marathon.
Morale Co-chair*: The objective of Morale is to create a unified, enthusiastic group of students that can inspire and engage
the entire UGA Miracle community both throughout the year and at Dance Marathon. Morale chairs and their committee create
and provide opportunities for color groups throughout the year, work with the Campus Relations team to plan Monthly
Participant meetings, create the Morale dance, emcee and encourage the liveliness at Dance Marathon, and work with the
Internal team to plan the Dance Marathon schedule.
Public Relations Co-chair*: Public Relations chairs create and promote the image of UGA Miracle for the surrounding
community by gaining publicity through press releases to news sources about our organization’s stories and events, maintain
the UGA Miracle platforms on social media and blog, and create a monthly newsletter outlining the organization’s efforts.
Recruitment Co-chair*: Recruitment chairs create and promote the image of UGA Miracle to campus by creating the display
board and operating the table for Freshman orientation sessions, planning and executing awareness events throughout the
year, emceeing and planning Kickoff, registering for student activity fairs, working with the Campus Relations team to plan
Monthly Participant meetings, and outreaching to new campus groups and students to expand the impact of UGA Miracle on the
University and student body.
Restaurant Relations Chair*: The Restaurant Relations Chair builds relationships with Athens and Atlanta-area restaurants
by planning and executing percentage nights with restaurants throughout the year and obtaining food for all special events,
including every four hours at Dance Marathon. The Restaurant Relations chair also picks up, sets up, serves, and cleans all
meals at Dance Marathon.
