1 Final Draft To become a register nurse or in other words a RN come with a lot of hard work and dedication. Starting off people must go into programs to receive accredited programs (Jones). Most people start off with associate degrees, but you can take accelerated programs to shorten it out (Jones). When most accomplish that many tend to get their bachelors. Before you can actually move on you must obtain a state license and pass the NCLEX-RN examine. Without that you could not be an actual RN. This job is for people who are hardworking and have dedication for their job. This job requires lots of teamwork, verbal and, written communication. This field creates lots of job openings and worldwide reach for all people around the world so many will say being a nurse is a positive to this world. RN are found everywhere for example besides hospital and clinics many can help out organizations like Red Cross and being an abroad nurse. The Rn fields are big and broad were many specialties and fit in. There are over 100 fields in nursing making a choice quit a task The schedule of a Register nurse varies by were they are located. Depending on schedule most have a flexible schedule making life a bit easier. Everyday routine will be tons of paper work, communicating with everyone, once in a while unusual events and, once in a while some miscommunication (Fuller) . Minority face different challenges in this field but not as much as people would think. “Many hospitals prefer people who speak more than one language because it makes communication a step easier” (Eva). Life of a RN depends so much on the 2 location. Working at a hospital for example you will work three or four times a week twelve hours a day. Most likely you will get overtime due to low staffing in most places. Working here takes some real determination and balls of steel. Helping people is the number one priority but sometimes people want to be treated as a king and obviously that is a no go For the people who do struggle with it the biggest problem would be simple to get a job nothing can be more difficult than that. Lack of communication due to language barrios could be another factor. Leadership is a skill that most register nurses must obtain because you never know when you will be put on the spot (Eva). In this field everyone is a lifelong learner with many skills needed to continue that position. One is take notice you will be a lifelong learner, must be empathetic and, advocate (Wisniewski). Many people are natural born leaders and being a very good leader helps a lot by raising pay and maybe become supervisor. Jobs in this field are booming more than ever before. The top five states that pay the highest is California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Alaska and, Oregon (Jones). With the average pay around $66,220 depending on state proves that they have a good pay for their standards (Best Health Care Jobs Registered Nurse). Jobs are on the raise due to many people retiring in the next couple of years. By 2022 jobs should increase by around 19%. This year alone there are around 526,800 jobs open in the U.S (Best Health Care Jobs Registered Nurse). This field has many opportunities coming to people’s way. Jobs are opening more than ever and the pay is very well. When the job is taken you go under probation like any other job, but the difference is how they view you. If a person does not have any skills only book smart people have a chance to actually 3 lose the job (Eva). In this field there are good and bad jobs but mostly good depending on the degree you obtain. When a person gets the job most likely they will keep the job for a good while or every. This field is a career not much of a basic job really. A person can expect a lot in this field with many benefits, but again depends where you actually work and who for? The good thing about this field as well is that there are so many types of RN positions to choose from that if one does not satisfy a person they could transfer to another section or completely move away from blood if that’s what a person is most worried about. Jobs here are everywhere like stated everywhere from giant hospitals to small doctor offices. (White).
