Literature circles
 Do talk about the sample questions to the right of the
roles of the discussion director. Notice that the sample
questions are the same for the illuminator. (one
person, obviously can do both)

word watcher. (a review of the vocabulary words would
be a greats strategy)

 Page 51 – an exercise for the vocabulary review
 Group discussion: Every person in the group needs to look at the epic
through one of the critical strategies – get out the OLEMISS paper.
Make sure everyone chooses a different strategy. Discuss how using
that lens changes the view.
