Parents: Rhea mother of the gods and Kronos the titan of
the sky. Brothers: Zeus god of all the gods. Hades go of
the underworld Sisters: Demeter goddess of grain, mankind,
and agriculture. Hera goddess of marriage and queen to all
the gods. She had no children. Hestia had no husband.
Some of the greatest accomplishments of Hestia were,
She became the center of the Greek home. She also became
the center of all Greek towns as well. There was hearth at
the center of every village. Hestia is now well known as the
most worshiped Greek goddess of all time.
Unlike the other gods and goddesses she had inner
strength and stayed calm in all and every situation she
faced. Hestia is no the chief of the goddesses. She was also
immune to the goddess Aphrodite and Eros because she
chose to be a virgin goddess. Not forced.
Rhea and Kronos married each other. They had several children.
Kronos son decided to take the throne from his father. When Kronos heard the
news he devoured his children.
Hestia was devoured first, then Demeter, Hera, Poseidon, and last Haides. Rhea
gave Kronos a drug to vomit all the children back up. Hestia was the last to
come up and asked to be the protector of the hearth and house.
Poseidon and Apollo courted Hestia.
She is the animal of pig, cow.
She had come up with the idea of the horoscope and was the
first reader of them.
One of her main purposes is to light a room.
Hestia in some Greek myths was also known as the goddess of
light and the sun.
