Other certificates such as dispatch note, certificate of welders, certificate of Boiler Attendant/certificate of Boiler Operation Engineer, test reports etc. NOTE:- In case of unavailability of any of the certificate at the time of applying, these can be handed over to Competent Person at the time of Inspection. Application includes. a. Basic details of boiler1. Maker’s number 2. Maker’s name and address 3. Year of Make 4. Total Heating surface area 5. Evaporation capacity 6. Intended working pressure 7. Type of boiler b. Certificates as described below:1. Form No. II or Form No. XVII 2. Form No. III 3. Form No. IIIA, IIIB, III C 4. Form No. IV or IV A 5. Drawings 6. Others (such as dispatch note, certificate of welders, certificate of Boiler Attendant, certificate of Boiler Operation Engineer etc) c. Approved Steam pipe line drawings 1. Submits proposed layout and design of steam pipe line to CIFB through boiler section (Clerk) 2. Clerk forwards to officer for technical examination 3. Officer examines and submit recommendation or comments to CIFB 4. CIFB approves the drawings. (drawings are signed and returned to owner) d. Certificates for steam pipe line 1. Form No. II 2. Form No. III 3. Form No. IIIA, IIIB, III C 4. Form No. IV or IV A 5. Drawings 6. Others e. Consent letter for erection by a competent firm f. Fees for boiler and steam pipeline In case of packaged boiler (Case A) 2. Inspector informs date of inspection and hydraulic test to owner 3. After inspection Inspector prepares boiler inspection report and steam pipe line Inspection report and submits one copy each to CIFB and owner. 4. After completion of inspections Owner submits a. remaining certificates b. Test reports (if applicable) for steam pipe line1. Radiography 2. Other 5. Inspector prepares MR books (in hard copy) 6. Inspector submits all record, reports and MR book to CIFB 7. CIFB depute other officer for technical examination of all record, reports and MR book. 8. The other officer recommends after technical examination to CIFB 9. CIFB approves and register the boiler and issues registration number 10. Inspector issues certificate of the boiler to use the boiler for 12 months. In case of erection of boiler at site (Case B) 11. Inspector informs date of inspection 12. After inspection Inspector submits boiler inspection report and steam pipe line inspection report one copy each to CIFB and owner. 13. Owner may apply for stage inspection in case of part of the material received at site. 14.After completion of all inspections Owner submits a. remaining certificates b. test reports b.i. For boiler b.i.1. Radiography b.i.2. SR b.i.3. MPT b.i.4. UT b.i.5. Other b.ii. For steam pipe lineb. ii.1. Radiography b.ii.2. SR b.ii.3. MPT b.ii.4. UT b.ii.5. Other 15.Owner may also apply in between for any approval in change of layout or change in design. 16. Owner applies to inspector after erection and testing (as in point number 5) for hydraulic test of a. complete boiler and steam pipe line b. part of the boiler c. steam pipeline d. other boiler component 17. Inspector informs date for hydraulic test to owner 18. After inspection Inspector prepares boiler inspection report and steam pipe line inspection report and submits one copy each to CIFB and owner. 19. Inspector prepares MR books Inspector submits all record, reports and MR book to CIFB 20. CIFB depute other officer for technical examination of all record, reports and MR book. 21.The other officer recommends after technical examination 22. CIFB approves and register the boiler and issues registration number 23. Inspector issues certificate of the boiler to use the boiler for 12 months.
