The story recounts the struggle between frightened children who become adults and an evil entity known as “It” that takes the form of their deepest fears but appears primarily as a clown calling himself Scrooge. • In 1990, Tommy Lee Wallace adapted the novel for television under the title of "It." The Shining • The Shining is a Stephen King novel first published in 1977. Jack Torrance is trying to rebuild his life and his family after his alcoholism which cost him his teaching job. He accepts a job as a caretaker in a large isolated hotel in the mountains. He moved with his wife Wendy and son Danny. The latter has the gifts of medium. • Stanley Kubrick has taken the story to create one of the most famous thrillers in the history of cinema, this film has scenes that remain classics such as blood falling from the lift. SIMETIERRE • Pet Sematary is a Mary Lambert film released in 1989. This is an adaptation of the Stephen King novel published in 1983. In a city in New England, a family moves into a house near an Indian burial ground, which is capable of resurrecting the dead and see their life a nightmare. FIRESTARTER • Firestarter is a fantasy novel by Stephen King published in 1980. In this novel, a little girl with the power of pyrokinesis (the ability of a living being to use fire), and her father are pursued by a government agency that wants to study her power. • The film was directed by Mark L. Lester from the novel in 1984. SALEM’S LOT • Salem is a horror novel by Stephen King published in 1975. The story is about a writer who returns to his hometown Jerusalem's Lot, discovering that a vampire has chosen to live there, and decides to fight it with the help of some other city residents. • The novel was adapted for the first time in 1979 with a Tobe Hooper movie entitled "The Vampire of Salem". "The Children of Salem," a film freely adapted from the novel, was shot in 1987. MY OPINIONS • I love Stephen King because I love his way of writing a scene of horror. At home I have many of his books such as “Salem’s Lot“, “Firestarter“, “Pet Sematary“, “Desperation“, “it“, “Needful Things“ …. Made by Mélanie
