I have also designed a range of courses, with a particular emphasis on integrating new technologies into the ELT classroom. I am also a DELTA and CELTA teacher trainer for the HCT course at national level. July 07 – May 09 English House School Owner - Ecuador I was responsible for setting up and overseeing a private language school in Quito. Duties included recruitment and training of teachers, course design and implementation and promotion of the school’s products and services. The school has since expanded to three franchises and operates as a going concern. Jan 06 – May 09 – Cambridge University Press – Ecuador As the Andean region Academic Consultant I was principally involved in conducting seminars for Cambridge University Press aimed at teacher development all over the Andean region, this meant hundreds of teacher training hours covered over a three year period. My work for CUP also included presenting the latest in academic and teaching trends, assessing client needs in terms of ELT materials, making commercial materials’ presentations and involvement in academic research for the Press. As Editorial Consultant for the Andean region I was responsible for reporting back the needs of the Andean region to CUP New York, as well as being involved in the preparation of new Cambridge texts, and ensuring that the needs of the region were addressed in these texts.
