Algebra I credit required prior to program entrance; some students may have also earned an additional math credit before entering the program. Students interested in engineering should take Physics 211 & 212. PE is NOT available for dual credit. Computer Technology 138 or Computer Science 150 or high school computer course Most colleges require a minimum of 3 courses, at least 2 of same language. Scholars Academy or high school Scholars Academy and/or high school Chinese 101 & 102; 4 levels of college German, Spanish, French offered at USC Upstate extra math, English, science, history college courses Scholars Academy Psychology, Music Appreciation, Art History, Religion, Creative Writing high school electives & fine arts At high school If some high school language has been taken, placement test is required to determine college course level of language. Scholars are encouraged to continue band, chorus, drama, art, orchestra at high school. *Foreign language or career & technology education course required for graduation in SC. Scholars take 3 or more languages to meet college entrance requirements.
