RE: History Revision Guides
In order to enhance your child’s performance in GCSE History we would like to offer you the
opportunity to purchase an excellent revision guide. It is specifically designed for Edexcel syllabus B
and covers all of the material we have and will be studying.
The revision guide presents the content in an easy to use accessible fashion and includes many
diagrams and images that will help with the significant amount of knowledge required in GCSE
History. It also gives detailed outlines of examples to support exam answers.
I would also recommend an Edexcel workbook to aid revision at home. It provides an excellent
opportunity to practice exam questions and refine exam technique. They come in both Extend and
Support versions and we will select the right option for your child.
I cannot recommend the books highly enough, they’re one of the best revision guides I have seen
and I think they would be a great help. The cost for both books is £10.78 and I think this represents
excellent value for money. If you wish to purchase either book separately you can, the revision guide
is £7.19 and the workbook is £3.59. Payment can be made by either debit/credit card via ParentPay
on the College website. Please note that this is now the only method of payment. If you do not
have access to the internet please contact the Finance Office to discuss alternative methods of
payment via Paypoint. We need to receive your payment by Friday 3rd October 2014, when I will
place the order. We will issue your child with their revision and question books in their History
lessons.
