Borderless CI SLA annual conference, Vancouver Sunday, June 8, 2014, 11:45AM #BorderlessCI Sponsored by SLA Competitive Intelligence Division Co-sponsored by Business & Finance Division and the International Information Exchange Caucus The global nature of business today means that every CI professional needs to know not only the sources/systems/services that help them monitor industries and companies in other nations, but master the complexities associated with working in those countries and competing with organizations on the global stage. This session brings together CI practitioners from around the world to share their experiences through an exchange – a dialogue. The session, designed as a conversation—no PowerPoints here – just expertly crafted and refined questions crowdsourced from the membership about issues that concern and confront them every day: the penetration of CI, designed to contrast differences among regions (and even countries within each region) and industries in those regions; education and training of CI professional; tools and techniques employed most frequently; cultural sensitivities that make CI challenging (and tips to overcome them); and more.
