Subject: Provision of security gadgets/equipments in DG:AIR, Akashvani Bhavan, Parliament Street, New Delhi.
The undersigned is directed to invite sealed quotations/ Advertised Tender Enquiry in two bid system
(Technical & Financial) for provision of 2 Nos. of Door frame Metal Detectors, 2 Nos. of inverted vehicle inspection
mirrors with torch and 4 nos. of Hand Held Metal Detectors in DG:AIR, Akashvani Bhavan, Parliament Street, New
Delhi as per terms and conditions given in Annexure-I and specifications given in Annexure-II.

In case you are interested to supply the items as per specifications given in Annexure-II and as per the
enclosed terms and conditions(Annexure-I), you are requested to furnish the rate in respect of the aforesaid items
in Annexure-III enclosed in sealed cover to Dy. Director of Administration (GA), Room No. 218, 2nd Floor, Akashvani
Bhawan, Sansad Marg, New Delhi – 110001 along with bid security (EMD) of Rs. 6,000/- (Six thousand) only in the
form of Demand Draft in favour of “PB(BCI), DG:AIR, New Delhi” and drop the same in the tender box in Room
No. 218, 2ndFloor, Akashvani Bhawan on or before 28.11.14 upto 3.00 PM. The Technical bid and the Financial Bid
should be sealed by the bidder in separate covers and both these sealed covers are to be put in a large cover which
should also be sealed. The Technical bid should accompany Bid Security (EMD) and requisite documents. The
tenders received without bid security and requisite documents are liable to be ignored. The financial bid should be
furnished as per Annexure – III. The technical bids will be opened on the same day i.e. on 28.11.14 at 4.00 PM in
Room No. 218. If any representative of the firm wishes to be present during the opening of the quotations should
reach Room No. 218, 2nd Floor, Akashvani Bhawan before 4.00 PM on aforesaid date along with authority letter
from the tenderer, if the person is other than the tenderer himself. Financial bid of those firms only who are found
eligible in technical bids will be opened in due course and the eligible firms would be intimated accordingly.

The tenders would be kept valid for three months for consideration and decision of the competent
authority in DG: AIR.

DG:AIR reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason,
whatsoever.

The sealed envelope containing tender should be superscribed in right hand upper corner as
“Tender for provision of security gadgets in DG: AIR”.
The tenders should be submitted legibly in English/Hindi.
The tenderers should submit a copy each of their PAN Card, Tax registration and ISO certificate.
Bids received without these documents will be rejected outrightly.
Quotation once submitted shall not be allowed to be withdrawn till the quotations process for
acceptance remains in force.
Over-writing, over-typing or erasing of figures are not allowed.
The DG: AIR reserves all rights to accept or not to accept any quotation or reject all the
quotations after assigning reasons therefor.
The price offered should show the rate/amount of VAT and other applicable taxes
separately.Tenderers quoting price inclusive of taxes without giving rates/amount of taxes will
not be considered.
The tenders should be valid for at least 90 days from the last date of submission thereof.
The incomplete, vague, unresponsive and late/delayed tenders will not be considered. A tender
will be considered unresponsive, where
i)
It is unsigned or signed without the rubber stamp of authorized signatory of the firm.
ii)
It is not submitted as per Notice Inviting Tender and any of the terms and conditions.
iii)
The tender is conditional.
iv)
The tenderer does not agree to any of the terms and conditions specified herein.
v)
It is illegible.
The successful bidder/firm shall execute and submit a Bank Guarantee equivalent to 10% of the
total value of the contract from Commercial Bank by way of Performance Security which shall
stand forfeited if the firm fails to execute the work assigned to them. Performance Security can
also be deposited in the form of Account payee demand Draft or Banker’s cheque of any
commercial bank drawn in favour of “PB, BCI, DG: AIR, New Delhi.”The performance security
should be valid for one year from the date of supply of the items.
The items supplied should be in conformity with description/manufacturer/make/model/code
numberspecified in the tender.
Installation will be carried out by the firm with their labour force, Supervisor and Engineers.
Firm will have to demonstrate and impart training to some officials of this Directorate.
Payment will be made within 15 days after the satisfactory installation.
In case the firm fails to give their services during the guarantee/warranty period, the bank
guarantee shall be forfeited.
No transportation charges will be made if the security gadgets are taken to workshop for repairs
& return during the guarantee/warranty period.
TDS/Levies shall be deducted from the contractor’s bills as per Government Orders.
The work must be completed within 15 days from the date of issue of supply order.
In case of any dispute regarding the supply order, the decision of the Directorate General, All
India Radio or any other Officer authorized by him shall be final.

Kindly submit your rates for floor mounted single-zone/dual-zone door frame metal detectors,
latest inverted vehicle inspection mirrors with torch and hand held metal detectors. Rates shall be
submitted under following format. Copies of photographs of each item may be enclosed. Delivery time
and guarantee/warranty may also be mentioned along with the items. Delivery time should not be
more than 15 days from the date of issue of Supply Order.

NOTICE INVITING TENDER
This Directorate General invites sealed quotations in two bid system for provision of 2 nos. of
Door Frame Metal Detectors, 2 nos. of inverted vehicle inspection mirrors with torch and 4 nos. of Hand
Held Metal Detectors in DG: AIR, Akashvani Bhawan, Parliament Street, New Delhi as per terms &
conditions given in Annexure – I and specification given in Annexure -II.
The reputed Agencies who may be interested to supply the above mentioned items may submit
their tender as per Annexure – III in a sealed envelope addressed to the undersigned and super-scribed
as “Tender for provision of security gadgets in DG: AIR”. The tender document is available with GA
Section, Room No. 247 of this Directorate and may be obtained on any working days between 11.00 AM
to 1.00 PM upto 28.11.14 against cash payment of Rs. 500/-. The tender document can also be
downloaded from All India Website www.allindiaradio.org . In case of submission of downloaded tender
document, the tenderer should submit with the tender a Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- in favour of PB, BCI,
DG: All India radio, New Delhi. The tender should accompany the bid security for amount of Rs. 6,000/(Rupees six thousand only) in the form of Demand Draft or Banker’s Cheque drawn in favour of PB, BCI,
DG: AIR, New Delhi. Same may be dropped in the Tender Box placed in room no. 218, 2nd Floor,
Directorate General: All India Radio, Akashvani Bhawan, Parliament Street, New Delhi – 110001 on or
before 3.00 PM on 28.11.14 which will be opened on the same day at 4.00 PM in the presence of such
tenderers who wish to be present. In case, any tender is too bulky to be accommodated in the tender
box, the same can be delivered by hand to Sh. Ramesh Kumar Negi, DDA (GA) or Sh. Ram Bachan, SO
(GA) in room No. 218 and 247 of Akashvani Bhawan, respectively. Tenders can also be sent by
registered post so as to reach the undersigned before the scheduled date and time.
