Non Medicare Medical Expenses – INSURANCE COVER
Cover Level - Level 1 - $1,000 Maximum sum insured any one claim:
The percentage of Medical Expenses covered under this section is 50% - ie they will pay 50% of each
appropriate bill up to a total of $1000.
The percentage of physiotherapy expenses covered under this Section is:
Visits 1-5 = 95%
Visits 6-10 = 80%
All other visits = 75%
Medical Insurance excess is $50 per claim
Claimable Items Include:
Physiotherapy
Private hospital accommodation
MRI costs (that do not have a Medicare rebate applied)
Ambulance Transports Costs
Dental Services (to whole teeth only)
Chiropractic
Theatre Fees in Private Hospital where Medicare does not apply
Ancillary Medical Procedures
Orthotics, Splints Prosthesis where an Insured Person's Medical Practitioner considers them
medically necessary for the treatment of the Bodily Injury
You can make a claim for any injury associated with competing for WBAFC which includes
games and training and can claim for multiple different injuries in the same season if required.
For example:
John injured his knee playing football – he required an MRI and 7 sessions of physiotherapy for
rehabilitation before he returned to the team.
Medical costs:
Physio – 7 sessions @ $80 per session

Therefore can claim the following on insurance:
Physio sessions 1-5 @ 95%

Claims must be made WITHIN 45 DAYS OF THE INJURY OCCURRING.
Medical costs must then be paid by the player upfront and are then reimbursed through the insurance policy
upon the submission of receipts.
