First Few Days…
 Behavioural Changes can be observed.
 Some may throw tantrums,keep aloof,vomit or
refuse to eat.
 Keep on encouraging /Motivating.
 Believe that this is a phase in your child’s life and
it will surely fade.
 Each day will be different and a sense of
accomplishment or achievement for the child is
truly important.
A day at Cornerstone
 Timings:-8.30 to 3.30.
 First Friday’s and Saturday’s of every month-Half
day working for children ,to facilitate training for
teachers as well as grooming up children .
 Till April 17th it’s a half day working.
Assemblies are opportunities to
develop discipline,face an
audience, improve the confidence
and learn to behave in a group.
Books to be sent for this one
month as per the time table only.
Time table for first month will be
stapled.
From June, books will be kept at
school and sent home as per the
schedule and assignments.
Almanac will have..
 Daily updates about happenings at school
 Home assignments
 Emergency notes about holidays,reminders etc
 and the best mode of communication between
teacher and parent.
Snack and Lunch break
 A 10 minute snack break daily 10.30.
 A 30 minute lunch break daily at 12.30.
 Snack and lunch must be sent along with the child
in the morning itself in a labeled bag.
 Snack must be light and easy to eat…that is not
the time for breakfast.
 Lunch must not be dry and stuffed to the brim of
the box.
 A napkin and spoon is compulsory.
 Non vegetarian food including EGG is not allowed
in the school.
Recess and Wash rooms
 Boys and girls have separate washrooms in different
floors.
 Make your child understand that, they can call up aunties,if
they need any kind of assistance.
 Children can use washrooms as many times as they
want,slowly they will get accustomed to the routine at
school .
 Aunties are here to help them use the washrooms and keep
the premises neat and clean.
Transport
 Please wait for the bus at the apartment or pick up





point 5 minutes before time.
There would be delays here and there for first one
month.
Buses will not wait for more than two minutes at any
pick up point.
Drivers and aunty in the bus are trained..but do not try
to pass or get information through them.
At no point of time that you can stop or enter the bus.

Mr.Darshan.
Emergencies at School..
 In the class,ground,wash room,corridors…
 First aid will be given at school.
 Depending on the severity ,child will be taken to
Pranaam Hospital,Madinaguda.
 Parent will be informed only after that.
 Any action from there ,only with your consent will
be taken.
Discipline
 Child should be here by 8.30 .
 Child must come in full uniform from June 10th




onwards.
Tuesdays and Fridays-Sports Uniform
All other days-Regular Uniform
Anklets and other gold accessories are not
allowed.
Please shampoo your child’s hair and keep it lice
free.
Rewards and Discipline Cards
 Two ways of Implementing discipline at school.
 Children would be of course rewarded ,in the




form of stickers ,certificates and appreciation.
Any kind of indiscipline-hurting/poking others,
damaging the school property, indiscipline in the
bus..etc. Will call for strict warning.
1st warning-Pink Card
2nd Warning-Pink card
3rd warning-Red card and parent would be called
to school.
Celebrations at School
 Cakes and return gifts are not allowed at school.
 Children can distribute chocolates.
 Children can gift either books to the library or gift a
plant to the school.
 Festivals are celebrated with full fervor at
Cornerstone.
 Request you not to take permission to send your child
late to school on those days.

Home assignments and Projects
Projects And Assignments
 It opens up a wide world of imagination and creativity
of the child.
 Encouragement from parents would enable the child to
finish the projects and assignments on time.
 The sense of accomplishment in turn improves the
confidence of the child.
 Most of these would be included in the assessment
pattern.
Assessments
 Regular Assessments called as CYCLES.
 8 cycles would be conducted per year for each
language/subject.
 These can be for languages, LSRW and for
subjects, these can be on activities,home
assignments,projects and so on.
Extra CurricularActivities
 Option 1 :Karate or Dance
 Option 2 :Gymnastics or Skating
 Athletics
 Games, music, art and craft periods
are planned weekly.
Parent Teacher Meeting
 To know about regular progress of
the child and areas of improvement.
 Four Times as per scheduleJuly,September,December and
March.
 All working Saturdays with Prior
Appointment.
