Grading Rubric Advocacy Letter Demonstrate leadership, advocacy and professionalism in the field of early education. Write a professional letter to the appropriate federal legislative representative. Make sure you are writing to your correct Senator or Representative in Congress. In your letter, please observe the following format: 1. State your chosen social justice/advocacy issue related to young children, families, and/or the early childhood profession 2. Concisely state your position regarding the issue; 3. Enumerate at least two reasons supporting your position; 4. State the action you would like the representative to take. Letters must be no more than one typewritten page. They should also be single-spaced with a space separating each paragraph. Be sure to research to whom this letter should be written and how it should be addressed.
