the lives of Deaf children and adults. Here are some top tips:

Choose your date and have decide how much you want to raise. Don’t forget to factor
in your costs.
With flyers and posters. Facebook and Twitter are great ways to promote your event
too.
Make sure you ensure Health and Safety regulations and any licencing laws are
adhered to (we can help with this). .
Get family, colleagues and friends to help..
Set up an online giving page, we can help with this.
Don’t forget to thank everyone who helped or got involved. They’re more likely to help
you again.

The difference your money makes
£1 could provide 5 leaflets giving vital information to deaf children and young people
about healthy relationships and staying safe. For a vulnerable deaf child, knowing that
help is available, is a vital first step towards recovery.
£10 could pay for a school uniform for a Deaf child living in Uganda. Without a
uniform they wouldn't be able to attend school.
£20 could pay for school books for 30 children attending a special school for Deaf
children living in Uganda.
£100 could enable one of our profoundly deaf residents with mental health issues, to
enjoy a memorable day out with their SignHealth support worker.
£250 could provide 5 therapy sessions delivered by a deaf specialist, for a young deaf
person to help them cope with a traumatic experience.
£1000 could fund a teacher for Deaf children living in Uganda for one term.
