Probation and Disqualification

Probation and Disqualification

(continued)

When placed on probation, students must attend a

Probation Workshop . (Temporarily discontinued.)

When disqualified, students may petition for reinstatement . They must go to the Undergraduate

Advisement Center/SH 256B to begin the process.

If denied reinstatement, students must:

 hold an exit interview with their academic advisor, and complete a contract describing what must be achieved before being allowed to return.

 stay out of school at least 2 quarters , and then reapply for admission to the University and the CBE.

Repeating Courses

For Academic Renewal

Students may repeat a course one time if the grade is lower than a “C,” and have the first grade not counted in their GPA/GPDB.

This procedure is limited to a maximum 20 units , and only applies to courses taken at CSLA.

Students should file the petition by the add deadline of the quarter in which they repeat the course. Retroactive petitions may or may not be accepted.

Check the catalog for more academic renewal information.
