What is Entrepreneurship?
An Entrepreneur:
one who undertakes

A Social Entrepreneur:

Recognizes a social problem and uses
entrepreneurial principles to organize, create, and
manage a venture to make social change
Key Distinctions:

Business entrepreneur = profit and return & for profit
structure

Social entrepreneur = impact, profit & return & legal
structure

Course Philosophy
 The
course will follow a logical path through
various topics relevant to starting a business
 The
course is aimed at two groups:
*science / engineering / medical researchers
either in a university or hospital lab or in the
private sector
*social entrepreneurs
 The
course will be of much greater value if you
have a business/social case ( idea?) in mind

have attended at least 21 of the 28 lectures

lecture and commenting on the video, signed
