Purpose of CUAB:
The purpose of the Chancellor's Undergraduate Advisory Board (CUAB) is to advise campus
administration on major initiatives that impact the student experience on a variety of topics, which include
but are not limited to student enrollment, research and creative activity, diversity, international experiences,
academic advising, and other aspects of undergraduate student life. As members of CUAB, you will
collaborate with a diverse group of highly motivated student leaders and advocates to assist Student
Assistants to the Chancellor and the administration with enhancing the overall undergraduate student
experience. These positions are designed to be flexible in order to best utilize the individual talents of each
student selected to serve.
Membership:
The CUAB board will be composed of 12 members including the 2 Student Assistants to the Chancellor and will
represent a variety of departments, undergraduate groups and perspectives on undergraduate student life.
Requirements and Guidelines:
Enrolled undergraduate student for 2015-2016 in good academic standing. If selected to serve as a CUAB member,
you are expected to actively work on selected projects 2-4 hours a week. You will also have an opportunity to enroll
in a student leadership class that will require attendance and no fewer than 10 hours over the course of the Fall
quarter. This leadership class will be taught by Chancellor Linda Katehi. The class hours will be announced once the
board has been formed. All CUAB members are strongly encouraged to enroll in the class. In the Winter and Spring
quarter, members will be required to attend ALL bi-weekly CUAB meetings along with any other mandatory
activities as designated by your work team.
Application Process:
A completed application with responses to questions must be received by the Chancellor’s Science Fellow via email
at ackaur@ucdavis.edu or to the Office of the Chancellor, Attn. Amandeep Kaur, Chancellor’s Science Fellow by
5:00 pm on Friday October 9, 2015.

Commitment
CUAB members will have an opportunity to enroll in a leadership class in the Fall quarter which will be
taught by Chancellor Linda Katehi. The class commitment will be a total of 10 hours. During the Winter and
Spring quarters, CUAB is scheduled to meet every other week Wednesday from 5:00pm – 6:30 pm.
There is an expectation of 2-4 hours of work per week, including bi-weekly meetings and mandatory
activities as designated by your teammates.
