Syllabus for World Dance 2015-2016
Miss Elyse Born (Starting in December Mrs. Koepp)
Dance Department
Welcome to Miss Elyse Born’s class for 2015-2016, together we will have an exciting and
successful year. I began my dance career at a very young age and I have not stopped
yet. I grew up dancing under the direction of Ms. Carty, and continued my exploration of
dance through both high school and collegiate dance programs. I graduated from Florida
International University and have worked for National Dance Alliance for 11 years.
Dance has given me the opportunity to travel to many places such as Japan, Hawaii,
New York City, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles and many more. I hope my passion for dance
and teaching will help you realize your potential and allow you to find your passion for
dance!

injury, even with documentation from a doctor, the highest
possible grade to earn for the assignments or choreography
missed will be “C”.
** Dancers are REQUIRED to attend mandatory showcases as part of their grade and overall learning
experience. Dates for these performances will be sent home ASAP. If a dancer misses one of these
