• Provide non-medical, short term, problem solving counseling services
associated with military life:
– Relationships
- Grief and loss
– Family issues
- Anger management
– Stress and anxiety
- Parent/child communication
– Depression
• FREE and CONFIDENTIAL – no records, no link to unit command
• 12 prepaid, face-to-face counseling sessions per issue
• MFLCs are licensed clinicians in Social Work, Counseling or a related
clinical discipline

Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program
• Provide information on current benefits and resources
available to help face the challenges of deployment.
• Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program is congressionally
mandated (2008).
– Events are held before, during, and after
deployments.
– Attendance by Service Members is mandatory.
– Service Members are encouraged to bring their
families.
– Weekend Event – child care / youth activities,
lodging, meals, etc.
