Objectives:
To introduce basic SAP R/3 system functionality.
Exercises:
 Log-on to the SAP R/3 system
 Navigate within SAP R/3
 Create multiple SAP R/3 sessions
 Look at your user settings
 Use various types of help
 Functions of different icons
 Create a material master record
 Log-off the SAP R/3 system
To Get Started:
 Your lab instructor will explain the SAP log-on process.
 Complete the following exercises. You do not need to hand anything in to your
instructor. The SAP R/3 system will track your progress as you execute the
assignment. Your unique student number (XXX) for this exercise has been
previously supplied to you by the instructor. This is for you ONLY. Do not share
this number with anyone! Use the student number (XXX) as required during the
exercise when asked for a student number.

Step 1—Log-on to the SAP R/3 system.
Click on the SAP icon on the Desktop
An SAP logon window will appear
Double click on the appropriate SAP Server icon
Enter:
Client = (supplied by instructor)
User Name = USER_XXX
Password = Password, a window will appear, change the password to your
personal password. You will use this password every time you log on to SAP
R/3. Remember this password.
SAP Easy Access Menu is displayed.
