Classic funky Stephen Sunter – Some tricky steps & turns (Love the triple turn
beginning) – but the music is quite slow – So also time to add some attitude
(Especially the turns in the 2nd half) – This has been the biggest hit at both classes this
month, although there are a few who don’t like the music – I think it’s an awesome
dance !!!! ------ Lots of moves that are original & fit so well with the track.
Wot U Got Babe (Little Mo & Dave ‘The Rave’)

Nice Night Club Two Step beat – And a great dance with some cool & different
moves – Just 32 counts & 2 walls, with an easy tag – The Wednesday class loved it –
Going to do it with the Monday class for sure – Highly recommended.

It’s just completely different – Easy steps when you get down to it – 1st half of the
dance goes to the verse – 2nd half to the verse – And the 2nd half is great fun when you
exaggerate the dips & sing along with the music – A few of the more serious ones sit
this one out, but most get up for a cool & fun dance – A hit with all three classes & a
floor-filler after just one week – Heading for the charts for sure.
Before I Met You (Neville Fitzgerald)

Another favourite of mine, but one that both classes are still struggling with after 3
weeks (Could be I’m not teaching it well !!!) – Lots of tricky turns are maybe the
problem – But they all like it & are sticking with it for sure – Another of my personal
favourites – A 48 count Night Club to a great track by Savage Garden – I hope this
one does not get over-looked whilst everyone is doing Nev’s hit dance Wanna Wanna
– I guess it’s that one that’s on the up just now (That one is a hit with both classes as
well).

Easy 32 count funky dance to a great beaty track by Blue – Big thumbs up to this one
from the funky gang – Don’t let the restart on every other wall put you off – It’s still
easy & still worth doing – Well written to the music – Love the press/kick steps in the
1st section – Original funky stuff.
U Got It (M.T.Groove)

Another 32 count easy funky dance – Bubblin Up went well with the Wednesday
gang – U Got It with the Monday gang – Need to swap them round now – More
original stuff by MT, well matching the track – Love the ‘Shorty George’ start – And
a neat syncopated/turning finish.
Funkalicious (Masters In Line)

And another ---- Another 32 count easy funky dance – This one was a hit at our
Sunday-Out workshop – Then at the World Masters – And lots of interest since – It’s
a neat funky dance for sure – No better than Bubblin Up or U Got It to be honest –
But it’s got a head start being Masters In Line – Danced by everyone in both classes
& filling the floor at socials – Cool funky weave – With knee pops like a drunken
walk !!!!

For a well written easy pop dance that flows along with the music well & easy but
enjoyable stuff for the Intermediate crowds - Last month it was Mark & Jan Caley’s
Kool & Fresh doing the business (& still a big hit) – This month its Everytime – Just
bops along well with the music – The sailor/heel followed by the touches & then the
touch turns are neat – Really like this one & would highly recommend it to all.

From the World Masters – You had to be there !!! --- This one is 100% pure fun – It
was a big hit at the Masters, but somehow it’s a workshop/event sort of dance – And
of course Guyton in person made it special – I’ve not so much taught it as recapped it
with the gang that were at the Masters – We just love dancing it ----------- I’ve not
taken time out to teach it to the classes yet – I guess I’m just being lazy !!! Still not
got it 100% yet either !!!!

Neat track – Neat 32 count 8&1 cha cha – Seen lots of good reports about this one –
Another hit dance for MaggieG ------ Have a go at Maggie’s Take It Easy as well – A
harder one – Equally neat !!! Lot’s of my Wednesday class go to Maggie’s class on a
Tuesday so no surprise they like it – But well received by the Monday gang as well.

One for the West Coast Swing gang – along the lines of slow Burn & Imagine – And
Swing Your Chains – Quite fast with some tricky turns – but just 32 counts with no
tags/restarts – Been sitting on this one a while watching it get big in the States &
thinking about whether to give it a go – But Max swung it for me when he taught it at
the Masters – West Coast not as popular in the UK as the States, but I think this one
has a good chance – The Monday crowd struggled week one, so need another week
before I know the feedback for sure – But I’m confident & going to do it with the
Wednesday class as well.
