your own words.
My prediction from the title is that this poem will be talking about
nature. My initial thought about the poem was that it was just about
nature and its beauty but it turn out to be something totally different.
The theme might be that life is too short.
At the beginning, the author in this poem is talking about his childhood

or interpretive meaning of the poem.

Title: Revisit the title and explain
any new insights it provides to the
meaning of the poem. Discuss the
meaning on an interpretive level.
All his life the poet never cared about time, he just lived his life to the
fullest. The poet sounds like he believes when it’s his time to leave
earth, he isn’t afraid to go.
At the beginning everything is happy and perfect. Towards the end, the
tone is kind of mellow, but still happy and carefree. “Under the new
made clouds and happy as the heart was long, In the sun born over and
over”.
The title seems to describe Fern Hill which is where he grew up and the
poet explains how life was.
Theme: What is the overall theme of
the poem? What is the poet saying?
The theme is life is too short, so don’t let it go to waste.
