SOLID SHAPES
These shapes are all 3 dimensional (3D), not flat.
This is a cube. All sides are the same length.
You might see these cubes:

a child’s brick
dice
can you think of another?
This is a cuboid. It has longer sides and shorter sides.
You might see these cuboids:
a shoe box
a cornflake packet
a filing cabinet

This is a cylinder. It is round and has the same shape all the way
through.
Here are some cylinders:
a tin of beans
a tin of tuna
a pipe
a cardboard tube
can you think of another?
This is a pyramid. It is pointed at the top, has a square base and 4
sides.
Some sweets have packaging shaped like a pyramid.
