Some of the donations are still coming in and will be applied to your Fair Share up until school year end. You are receiving a statement today on your Fun Run donations received as of the 27th. Band Students – I had the pleasure of hearing a beautiful concert last evening with Our Lady of Fatima and St. James students. Thank you all for your time and dedication to this program. Our students are Della Stokes, Thaddeus Gonzalez, Ella Capelli, Joe Scott, and Spenser Croce. Campbell Soup Labels and Box Tops – Thank you for sending in these labels! If you have any on hand, please send them in before the end of the year. Please continue to save them over the summer! Protecting God’s Children Class – There is a class TONIGHT at St. James in Sewickley if anyone is interested. The evening session is 6 – 9 pm. You may call Sue Pontello at 412-741-6650 if you are interested. Dress Down Week – We have several charities that have asked us for help so all of next week the students will be permitted to dress down for a donation of $3.00 total. We will be going to mass on Friday, June 5th, so I ask that you do dress appropriately for mass even though you don’t have to be in Event Wear. Kindergarten Moving on Day – Tomorrow is the last day for our Kindergarten class of 2015!!! Congratulations to all of our students and good luck in First Grade!!! Have a wonderful summer! Eighth Grade Graduation – Our class of 2015 will graduate on Sunday, May 31st, at the 8:00 am Mass. They will then be honored at a brunch in Kohler Hall when awards will also be presented. Our students will be attending Quigley Catholic, Oakland Catholic, Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Hopewell, Moon, and Central Valley School Districts. Congratulations and good luck to all of our students! Chimbote Mission Day – Tuesday, June 2nd, is our mission carnival day. Each grade creates a booth or game for the other students to play. Each event is $.25, and all money goes toward the Chimbote Missions in Peru. The Diocese of Pittsburgh has a connection to this mission, and each school is asked to do its part. So, if your means allow, please have your child bring in some quarters to play the games. However, no child will be excluded from participating. Awards’ Assembly – Students in grades 1 – 7 will attend our annual awards’ assembly on Wednesday, June 3rd, at 9:00 am, in Kohler Hall. Parents are welcome. Last Day of School – Friday, June 5th, will be the last day of school. Dismissal is at 10:30 am. Report cards and Terra Nova scores will be given to the students that day. Holy Mass – Students in grades 2 & 3 will be attending the 9:00 am mass tomorrow. Please wear Event Wear tomorrow. COURTESY ANNOUNCEMENT Baby Sitting Available – Nathan Yanko’s, a 2nd grade mother, is offering babysitting service in her home in the Plan 12 area of Aliquippa during the summer months for Fatima parents who work. Mrs. Amy Xu Yanko will watch and care for Fatima children, provide limited lunch meals, and can also teach some spoken Chinese language to them for parents who are interested.
