Accelerating Ideas pilot
Open for ideas until summer 2015. However, if there is a significantly higher
level of interest than expected, it may close at short notice.
The Accelerating Ideas pilot is a completely new funding approach from the
Big Lottery Fund. It aims to get great ideas and practice more widely shared
and adopted across the UK.
The pilot is initially calling on ideas and projects focusing on the opportunities
and challenges presented by an ageing population in the UK. Instead of
looking at application forms, they will start conversations to see which ideas
have the potential to:

Address some of the most complex and challenging social issues;

Adopt and adapt tried and tested approaches across borders, issues
and communities;

Increase the impact of projects funded by Big Lottery Fund or other
funders;

Involve significant roles for Voluntary, Community or Social Enterprise
Organisations and for beneficiary communities.
However one of the things they are testing is the demand and appetite for
the programme so.

Deadline for heritage & craft grant applications is 31st July
Deadline for music grant applications 31st August
The Trust recommends getting your applications in well before the deadline.
This charitable trust makes grants that support classical music performance
and training, and heritage & crafts. Registered charities in the UK are invited
to apply for funding under either of these themes, and there is no minimum or
maximum level of grant - so it's totally up to you how much you apply for.
The Radcliffe Trust supports the development of the skills, knowledge and
experience that underpin the UK’s traditional cultural heritage and crafts
sectors. This includes support for: craft and conservation training; practical
projects, particularly those that include a strong training element; strategic and
capacity-building projects which demonstrate clear benefits to the sector;
Special Needs projects whose emphasis is on skills development. However,
the Trust remains committed to flexible, open and inclusive grant-giving and
will consider other projects, should they fall broadly within its remit.
