Grade 3 Movie Project: Animals, Environments, Disasters Movie
You are part of a Movie Production Team that will produce a movie about animals, environments and disasters. There will be 5
production teams that work to create sections of the movie. After all of the groups have finished their section of the movie,
all the sections will be assembled to produce a final movie.

Details of the Activity
Directors/Producers:
The director/producer oversees, checking to
see jobs are completed by Movie Production Teams. The Library Media
Specialist and the TRT are the directors/producers leading the groups to
ensure that a great movie is created.
Movie Production Team Specialists: Know your job. Do your job.
The Investigator will be the Animal Specialist - Responsible for images
and text for the animal section.
The Journalist will be the Environment Specialist- Responsible for images
and text for the environment section.
The Reporter will be the Natural Disasters Specialist- Responsible for
images and text for the Disasters section.
Teamwork/Problem Solving: The Movie Production Team will
work together on the Title and Music sections. The teams will
keep track of what’s happening by recording information in the Detail

Director/Producer’s Review & Rendering Movies
All tasks must be completed. When the movie project is ready to be saved
and rendered, the team calls for a meeting with the Directors/Producers
to gain approval. The Director/Producers review the Movie project. If
changes are necessary, they must be completed according to their
recommendations. Once final approval is gained, the movie project is saved
and the final movie is rendered.
