ETAC MEMBERSHIP FOR 2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR IS OPEN
If you are interested in technology and would like to contribute ideas to technology initiatives in
LPS, please apply to ETAC (Educational Technology Advisory Committee) today! (For an
explanation of the membership categories, please see the ETAC Membership section on the
district website. Ideas that have helped LPS become recognized as one of the most
technologically advanced districts in America began with ETAC! The ETAC committee meets on
the first Wednesday of each month for two hours (6:00 - 8:00 PM) to provide vital advice on
district technology. You do not need to be a technology expert to join the ETAC...you just need an
interest in what technology can do for student learning. If you have questions contact Gail
Schillinger at 303-347-3350 *SPECIAL NOTE* This committee only meets 8 times throughout
the school year. Members are asked not to miss more than 2 meetings.
 WORKSHOP: "GET EDUCATED: CARING FOR YOUR CHILD'S MENTAL HEALTH AND
WELLNESS"
Littleton Public Schools is a proud partner of the upcoming event, “Get Educated: Caring for Your
Child’s Mental Health and Wellness.” Scheduled for Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Arapahoe
Community College, the event is sponsored by a wide range of local organizations and will
provide valuable information regarding child and adolescent mental health and wellness. All LPS
parents and guardians are invited to attend. This workshop is FREE but does require preregistration. Register here! If you have any questions about the event, please send them

 NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR EARLY ACCESS TO KINDERGARTEN OR FIRST
GRADE
LPS is now accepting applications for Early Access to Kindergarten or First Grade for the 2016-17
school year. This program is for advanced 4 year olds who do NOT meet the October 1st cutoff
date for Kindergarten enrollment or advanced 5 year olds who do NOT meet the October
1st cutoff for First grade for the upcoming school year. The deadline for applications is March 31,
2016. A more detailed explanation is available on the district's Early Access page. Please contact
the Gifted Education department at 303-347-3473 for more information.
 NOW ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR 4TH ANNUAL CURO AWARD!
The Littleton Public Schools Special Services Advisory Committee is pleased to announce the 4th
annual CURO Award. This award recognizes the dedication and commitment of an individual to
touch the life of an LPS student with disabilities. Any LPS community member, staff member or
student is eligible to receive the award. Recipients of the award are nominated because through
their devotion to a student with a disability, that student's life is better! Awards will be given and
recipients and all nominees will be honored at a reception at The Inn at Hudson Gardens which is
located at 6115 S. Santa Fe Dr., Littleton 80120 on May 3, 2016. Nomination forms are due
by February 26, 2016 and can be completed online by clicking the "CURO Award" link below.
