St. Louis Chapter President’s Message
Dear fellow Chapter Members,
Great, economical CPE is hard to find. As your IMA St. Louis Chapter President, I want to introduce you to a terrific
opportunity for just that - great, economical CPE!
On September 13 and 14, 2007, the Heartland Regional Council of the IMA will hold its 7th Annual Educational
Conference in Springfield, Missouri. I have attended 4 of these conferences. The speakers and topics are FIRST
CLASS. Don’t take my word for it. Judge for yourself. You can check out the conference by clicking here.
The cost for 17 hours of CPE is $275 per person (if you sign up before 8/24/2007). In addition, the Heartland Council
is extending Bronze Sponsor pricing to other IMA Chapters. This means, if we get 5 or more members from the St.
Louis Chapter to attend, the price drops to $250 per person. Even with 2 days lodging and evening meals (continental
breakfasts and lunches will be provided), your out-of-pocket cost should still be less that $500. This is only $29 per
CPE hour! Compare that to MSCPA at $32 and Lorman Educational Services at $42 - neither of which include meals
or lodging. THIS IS A FANTASTIC DEAL!!!!
New this year will be the Conference “kick-off” dinner & speech on Friday September 12. The featured speaker will be
the former Attorney General of the United States, John Ashcroft.
Please join me in attending this conference. You may register online or by fax. Please remember to designate your
membership as the St. Louis Chapter. Also, please let me know you are attending. We are getting a couple of carpools together.
I look forward to hearing from you.
