Photography will have its own category. The Judges can also allocate up to three Highly Commended

ART IN THE GARDENS – 6th & 7th September 2014
SELECTION DAYS
You can bring your work in on either Saturday 14th or Sunday 15th June 2014.
All artwork must have your name, address, telephone number, title of work, medium and retail price
clearly marked on the back or it will not be accepted.
On Selection Day, you should deliver your artworks in the morning, leave them for the attention of
the Selection Panel, and return to collect them in the afternoon. You will be asked to pay the
hanging fee of £5.00 for each artwork selected when you collect your artworks.
Deliver your artworks to the School Hall, Westbourne Middle School, Westbourne Road,
following the arrows from the front gates on Westbourne Road. On street parking will be
necessary and it may not be possible to park directly next to the School.

THIS SUBMISSION LIST MUST BE BROUGHT TO THE SHOW WITH YOUR WORK
Please complete the details overleaf and bring it with your artworks to the Selection Day. This
Submission List will be stamped “PAID IN FULL” when you have paid your hanging fee, and
thereby becomes your authority to bring artworks to the Show at The Botanical Gardens. When
you do so, a Steward will receipt the List. It then becomes your authority to collect your unsold
artworks after the Show.
DELIVERY TO THE SHOW
Selected artworks (AND this Submission List) should be brought to The Botanical Gardens, via
Clarkehouse Rd main entrance on Friday 6th September between 10am and 12 noon.
COLLECTION OF UNSOLD ARTWORK
Please collect your unsold artworks at the end of the Show on Sunday 7th September between
6.30 and 7.30 pm. YOU WILL NEED THIS SUBMISSION LIST, which will be your authority to take
the artworks away.
YOUR STORY
We are always looking for personal stories that would interest the press to help promote the event.
If you have anything you are willing to share about your art practise or being in Art in the Gardens,
please email us or write it down and bring it on your selection day. If we think we can use your story
we will be in touch.
If you can offer any time to volunteer over the weekend of the event, please let us know. Forms will
be available at the selection days.
