Dear Human Resources,
I am interested in the art director position with Marketing and Annual Giving. I’ve been at the
University of Michigan since December, 2008 and I love it here, so I am interested in new
opportunities here on campus.
I would be a fantastic art director for Marketing and Annual Giving. In my time at the College of
Literature, Science and the Arts, I’ve experienced how working together with brilliant students,
faculty and staff here can result in powerful and compelling communications. I would love to
have the opportunity to help tell the University of Michigan story for Marketing and Annual
Giving.
My years of experience in a range of media provide me with a deep problem solving ability,
leadership and great instincts. I combine creative passion and high level strategic sense with
detail oriented discipline and refinement to create powerful solutions.
I have worked professionally in video (web and traditional delivery), animation, social
networking, mobile apps, podcasting, YouTube, event media, print design, information
architecture, interactive and presentation design, as well as database systems. My experience
comes from both agency and corporate environments and includes work for Audi, GM, Ford,
Chrysler, Whole Foods Market, Ernst & Young and Tenneco.
