PERSONNEL AND REVIEW (Lape, Means, Martucci, Marko and Lujetic)
1. Request approval for the board of school directors to direct that the superintendent and the CASD
administration team:
Study the professional district staffing needs based upon instructional program requirements and
student enrollment;

Determine the minimum professional district staffing needs for the upcoming school year based
upon the foregoing studies;
Make recommendations to the board during April and May of 20l4 based upon the considerations
set forth in the Public School Code, concerning whether any professional or temporary
professional employee position should be maintained, added, reduced or eliminated during the
2014·15 school year;
If a recommendation is made for the elimination or reduction of positions, implement the
established procedures through termination of specific temporary professional employees,
suspension of specific professional employees or demotion of specific professional employees,
obtaining such approvals from the Department of Education that may be required for the alteration
or curtailment of educational programs;
At the appropriate time, notify any temporary professional and professional employees who may
be affected by the recommendation; and
Consult with and work with district legal counsel to insure the correctness and completeness of the
process.

WW. Heidi Culver and Gena Ansell, Dunbar Borough Elementary School teachers, and approximately 40
students will be taking a field trip to State Theatre, Uniontown, PA, Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at no cost
to the district, in accordance with the district student travel policy.
XX. The following Buildings and Grounds uses are scheduled, subject to each individual/group
providing the district with a certificate of insurance as appropriate, in accordance with the
district Utilization of School District Facilities Policy:
1. Johnsons Team will be using the Springfield Township Elementary School gym area for
physical fitness, Mondays and Fridays, February 21 thru April 18, 2014, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

2. Rotary Club of Connellsville will be using the Senior High School cafeteria for a catered dinner
on Thursday, March 6, 2014, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
3. CAEA will be using the Dunbar Township stadium grounds for an Easter egg hunt, Saturday,
April 5, 2014, 9:00 a.m. to noon.
4. Penn Highlands Volleyball Club used the Senior High School main gym for volleyball practice,
Monday, March 3, 2014, 4:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, March 6, 2014, 4:45 p.m. to
9:00 p.m.
5. Connellsville Little League will be using the Senior High School auxiliary gym for a baseball
clinic, Saturday, March 22, 2014, 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
6. Bullskin Little League used the Clifford N. Pritts Elementary School for sign-ups, Monday,
March 3, 2014, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
7. Connellsville Little League will be using the Junior High School field and surrounding grass
areas for baseball practices, Sunday thru Saturday, March 10 thru August 30, 2014, 3:45 p.m.
to 8:00 p.m.
8. Connellsville Little League will be using the Dunbar Township Elementary School ball field
and surrounding grass areas for baseball practices, Sundays thru Saturdays, March 10 thru
August 30, 2014, 3:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
9. Connellsville Little League will be using the Zachariah Connell Elementary School ball field
and grass areas for baseball practices, Sunday thru Saturday, March 10 thru August 30, 2014,
3:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
10. Connellsville Junior High Interact Club will be using the Junior High gym and cafeteria area
for Sydney’s Shake-A-Thon, Saturday, March 22, 2014, 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
11. Kids and Company will be using the Senior High School for dance rehearsals Thursday, June 5,
2:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday, June 6, 2:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and for recitals on
Saturday, June 7, 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 8,
12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. Group Charges
12. Intermediate Unit 1 will be using the Junior High School auditorium for an Act 126 Mandated
Reporting on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
13. Dance Works By Melanie will be using the Senior High School auditorium for dance rehearsals
on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, 3:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014, 3:45 p.m. to 6:30
p.m. and for recitals on Friday and Saturday, June 13 and June 14, 2014, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00
p.m. Group Charges
14. Falcon Indoor Colorguard and Drumline Competitions will be participating in the following
