The lead defense attorney for accused mobster James “Whitey” Bulger, headed for trial in federal court for 19
murders, clashed with a judge yesterday as he complained he can’t process all the documents produced by
prosecutors in time for the scheduled March trial.
Bulger’s lawyer, J.W. Carney, was accused of “grandstanding” by the judge after he repeated his oft made
claim that he does not have time to sort through 240,000 pages of discovery. Carney made no formal request to
delay the trial, but U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Marianne B. Bowler said: “The trial date remains firm.”
He did win release of a document sealed since the trial of one of Bulger’s former lieutenants, Kevin Weeks.
And he was ordered to deliver a letter requesting discovery by next Friday. The two sides are due back in court
Oct. 22.

Good God. Lawyers are detestable. We have one in regard to a Homestead Act issue, & this lawyer said to us:
"I know how lawyers can be, that's why I try to be different." Yeah, he's different allright. This has been going
on for 5 years now. The SOB tells us he'll call. Silence. Messages not returned. They are all a bunch of scum
sucking whores. Good thing is that if he screwed up, he'll take the hit; not us. I thought elder law attorneys had
more mercy, but they are probably all part of a bigger scam. Shakespeare could'nt have said it better.

So, what's the message here? Are the feds performing some impossible act so Bulger never WILL get a fair
trial? 240,000 pages seems very burdensome. Can maybe 100 lawyers handle it? Maybe a law school's
population?
Seems as if the Kosilek sex-change can bring a lawyer $800K, the bar is pretty high. 240,000 pages ought to get
this case into that stratosphere.
But even for the feds, it's an awful lot to expect for a defense to deal with all of this in short time.
What's REALLY going on? What's the end game here?

If whitey would just tell his lawyer (liar) what he did and didn't do,he wouldn't need any time .But we all know
truth is not what lawyer's (liars) are after,just a way to stretch the the truth so they can make (pilfer) money from
the scum of the earth or an honest person.Most have no ethic's other than the love of money.

I think that the feds gave so many pages of discovery because this way, it will take years to get through it,
Whitey will pass away in jail, and he will never testify about the underhanded actions of the FBI.
