largest consumptive country for lysine in the world. The annual demand for lysine has
reached 80,000-100,000 tons, but international lysine market has been at highly
monopolizing state for a long time, and the price is mainly controlled jointly by US
DM Corporation, Japan Ajinomoto, Japan KYOWA Hakko, and BASF Corporation. At
present, only quite a few countries such as U.S.A., Japan and China have possessed the
complete set of lysine production technology. Although China has mastered such
technology, domestic producers cannot produce lysine normally because of being
influenced by foreign products dumping. In 2004, along with the bankruptcy of
KYOWA Hakko in American and Mexican factories, around 100,000 tons of products
