Science
Ms. Ward/Mrs. Luthart
This upcoming week in science we will be finishing our human body unit. The unit test over
human body systems will be on Wednesday. As a culminating activity, we will be watching the
movie Osmosis Jones which is rated PG for bodily humor. This movie focuses on the human
body and fighting viruses. We are sending home a permission form with your child on Monday. If
your child can NOT watch the video please send the permission form back to us by Thursday. I
hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Mrs. Campbell
In this final week before Spring Break, we will finish out study of the human body organ
systems. Wednesday the students will have an exam and turn in their summative journal
entries covering the purpose of the major systems and how they serve the needs of the cells for
oxygen, food and waste removal. They have been working on the journal entries since last
week. As a cumulating activity of this unit we will view the movie Osmosis Jones. This movie
reinforces the idea that systems work together to bring oxygen and food to the cells and to
remove wastes. Hopefully we will have the results of the eCybermission project upon our return
to school on April 11th.
