Application for MSE Comprehensive Final Exam

The MSE Comprehensive Final Exam consists of two separate exams. Students may not participate in either part of
the exam until they have submitted this application and have been granted permission by the School of Business
Graduate Advisor.
Please read the following information before proceeding to the application form.
PART ONE
MSE Comprehensive Final Exam
Eligibility: Students may not take Part One until all of the following requirements have been satisfied.
1. Complete the following courses. Graduate courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher.
- Entrepreneurial Studies
- New Business Ventures
- Technological Entrepreneurship
- Global Entrepreneurship
2. Students must earn at least a grade of “C” (2.0) in the courses that will be applied toward the graduate
degree at Cameron University. No more than six hours of “C” grade credit shall be applied toward a
graduate degree.
3. Cumulative GPA must be at least a 3.0.
4. Student must have signed the Plan of Study that is on file in the Graduate Advisor’s office.
5. All coursework must have been completed in the last six years, unless the student was granted an
extension.
6. Apply to take Part One of the MSE Comprehensive Final Exam (scroll down to access the application).
7. Application is approved by the Graduate Advisor.
Exam Date: Once the application has been approved by the Graduate Advisor, the student will coordinate an
exam date with the professor who is administering Part One.
CERTIFICATE IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP
If you pass Part One of the MSE Comprehensive Final Exam, you are also eligible
to receive a Certificate in Entrepreneurship. Please contact the Graduate Advisor to
obtain more information on the Certificate in Entrepreneurship.
PART TWO
MSE Comprehensive Final Exam
Eligibility: Students may not take Part Two until all of the following requirements have been satisfied.
1. Complete all required coursework. Graduate Courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher.
- Prerequisite courses (as specified on the Plan of Study)
Business Admin Concepts or UG Management and UG Marketing
Economic Concepts or UG Economics I and UG Economics II
Accounting & Info Systems Concepts or UG Acct I and UG Acct II
Financial & Statistical Concepts or UG Finance and UG Statistics
- Core Courses (see your Plan of Study)
- All Courses in Concentration Area (see your Plan of Study)
- Human/Organizational Development Requirement (see your Plan of Study)
- Applied Entrepreneurial Case Study
2. Students must earn at least a grade of “C” (2.0) in the courses that will be applied toward the graduate
degree at Cameron University. No more than six hours of “C” grade credit shall be applied toward a
graduate degree.

Exam Date: The next exam date is Saturday, January 26, 2008.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: All applications must be received on or before December 21, 2007.

Important: Submission of this document does not automatically grant you permission to participate in the MSE
Comprehensive Final Exam. The Graduate Advisor must review your application and transcripts to determine
whether you are eligible to take the exam. Within two weeks of receiving this application, the Graduate Advisor will
e-mail you to verify whether (a) you are registered for the exam, (b) you are conditionally registered for the exam,
subject to completion of certain academic requirements, or (c) you are not yet qualified to sit for the exam.
