SYLFF Fellows who are teaching in their departments or are involved in a specific
funded research project, independent of their doctoral research, and would like those
hours to be considered in lieu of the 15 hours of weekly assignment to the Graduate
School or the Ralph J. Bunche International Affairs Center, need to attach a copy of their
teaching assignment indicating the course/s taught, substantiated with the Chair of the
Department’s written approval and/or a detailed description of the funded research
project, substantiated by the Supervisor’s written approval of assignment in the funded
research project. All assignments are subject to the approval of the Dean of the Graduate
School.
