Logistics Buyer / Executive Location: HarbourFront Office Responsibilities • Responsible for preparing, negotiating, managing and coordinating agreements supporting the procurement of all logistics services in Singapore • Responsible for logistics contract implementation, supplier performance review as well as be involved in resolving day-to-day logistics operational issues • Manage all 3rd party logistics activities including transportation, distribution, customs clearance and warehousing to ensure timely and quality services at lowest possible total cost • Responsible for driving distribution compliance; ensure that all import and export are in compliance with company policy, standard & guidelines as well as local and international regulations • Responsible for review of FSOP (First Standard Order Process) to ensure that applicable license / permit as well as all documentation are in place prior to first shipment • Drives continuous improvements in the buy and develop effective relationships with customers, suppliers, internal business units and other functions • Responsible for leading and driving the overall logistics operations in Singapore; that operations are carried out in a safe, efficient & compliance manner • Administer country Import/Export compliance to ensure all Import/Export activities are conducted in accordance with the local and international regulations including conducting regular training to business units/suppliers • Administer country Distribution Safety and Security (DSS) compliance to ensure all distribution activities are conducted in accordance with the policy/procedure including conducting regular training to business units/suppliers • Administer country Buy-Release-Receipt-Pay (BRRP) policy/procedure and to ensure all sourcing activities are conducted in accordance with the policy/procedure including conducting regular training to users • Administration and maintenance of all procurement systems e.g. SAP, eSourcing, Manual PO & etc • Work closely with other buyers in Singapore as well as AP Region to ensure leveraging of buying power • Preparation of periodic reports/metrics for management review • Support sourcing & logistics activities as assigned by the management Requirements • Degree/Diploma in Logistics/Business or related discipline • Minimum 3 years of working experience in logistics buy & operation work • Good knowledge of logistics operation, Import/Export regulations preferred • Resourceful and has good network with local suppliers • Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills • Excellent inter-personal and written skills • Good team player and highly motivated with lot of initiatives
