software. Users can connect this together with any product from the already established and
popular Launch family, and take complete control of their session. Attendees at Novation's tech
showcase at BMC on Saturday can watch product specialist Mark Lowes perform using the
Launchpad Pro, alongside other products from the Launch range. Joining Novation at BMC

8:58, his new project and time inspired collaborative concept album, into a live set. Find out firsthand how he sets up his rig, and hear how he brings his project to life.
Ableton
Taking Inspiration from Dennis DeSantis’s recent book “Making Music - 74 Creative Strategies
for Electronic Music Producers”, Ableton presents a series of seminars at Brighton Music
Conference this year which aim to inspire and inform music producers of all levels, from
beginner to pro. Ableton have invited some of Brighton’s most respected electronic artists to
give an insight into their strategies for overcoming the creative roadblocks that all producers
encounter from time to time: How to find inspiration, how to make progress with your ideas and
(most importantly) how to finish what you start. On Friday 5 June Ableton will be joined by Evil
Nine (Marine Parade). The Brighton duo will discuss their approach to making music and
deconstruct one of their recent tracks, 2014’s “Your Girl”. On Saturday 6 June Ableton Certified
Trainer Simon Stokes aka Petrichor (Soma Records) breaks down some of the essential tools in
Live 9 for sculpting your own sounds in order to give your tracks a distinct identity. In the
afternoon, Dennis DeSantis hosts the Ableton panel alongside Evil Nine (Marine Parade), Alex
Banks (Monkeytown Records) and Max Wheeler (Anushka/Brownswood Recordings).
The discussion will focus on helping producers actually make music – with concrete tips for
solving musical problems, making progress and, fundamentally, completing projects –
regardless of the software or hardware used. In the evening, Ableton hosts a Brighton Artist
Showcase at The Tempest Inn, in association with the Brighton Ableton User Group and BMC.
