Merissa and Luvonna Bios:
Hello, My name is Merissa Candelaria (on the right) and my best friend
is Luvonna Waters (on the left). We have been best friends for almost
15 years. A little about me, i am 26 years old, and just got married a
little over a month ago. I tried to lose weight before my wedding, but
it was very difficult. I have two small children, Dante who is 2 1/2,
and Devynn who is 11 months. It is definitely a lot of work taking care
of two small kids, but my husband and i have so much help from both of
our families. I am so ready to be in better shape and have a healthy
lifestyle for my children. I have been overweight all of my adult life.
I hide it because i am very tall (6 feet), so no one really knows how
heavy i really am. It is so time to get and stay healthy.
My best friend, Luvonna Waters, is the best friend anyone could ever
ask for. She is also 26 years old. She is the most wonderful person i
know. She has a five year old son named Jaden, who is also my godson.
When he was three months old, his father was killed in a car accident.
Since the accident, they came to stay with me and have been here ever
since. They both bring so much joy to my life and my families" lives.
She is very determined to lose weight also, she is the one at the gym at
5 in the morning before work. I think she just needs a little extra
boost.
I think we would both be great for this competition because we need to
get healthy. We do everything else together, why not this. We want to
show everyone that we can do it!!!!!!!!
