YAYASAN SIME DARBY HOSTS INAUGURAL ARTS FESTIVAL IN SEPTEMBER.
Yayasan Sime Darby will be organising its inaugural YSD Arts Festival in September
2014. The arts festival themed “Sharing is Understanding” will be produced by its
partner beneficiary The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac). The YSD Arts
Festival will be the first of its kind in Malaysia, bringing together cultural and
traditional performances from all 14 states in Malaysia at one location.
To kickstart events leading up to the two-day festival in September, a launch
ceremony will be held on 29 May, 2014 to unveil the numerous exciting activities
and public outreach programmes which will take place in the coming months.
The launching ceremony will be graced by YABhg. Tun Musa Hitam, Chairman of
Yayasan Sime Darby and Yg Bhg. Dato’ Ghani Othman, Chairman of Sime Darby
Berhad and witnessed by Yg Bhg. Datuk Dr. Ong Hong Peng, Chairman of ASWARA.
Guests and members of the media will be treated to an exclusive showcase by
ASWARA Dance Company featuring pieces which have yet to be performed before
an audience.
