2. Read the article entitled “Violent Video Games Have Not Been Proven to Harm
Teens.” Take margin notes as you read.
3. Hand-write a ½ page summary and ½ page response.
4. Get into five different groups and read aloud responses to one another. Choose
one person in the group to share his/her response aloud to the class.
5. Each group shares one response aloud to the class.
6. Hand in summary/responses.
7. Hand out “Violent Video Games and Aggressive Behavior in Children are Linked.”
Read and take margin notes.

1. Discuss point-support-analysis (T.E.E.) model.
2. Identify potential main points and evidence in “Violent Video Games and
Aggressive Behavior in Children are Linked.”
3. Five people write a topic sentence on the board.
4. Finish discussion of Elizabeth Carll article.
5. Review procon.org site on media violence. Discuss google scholar, TNR, NPR, etc.
6. Do research on media violence; TAKE NOTES on all sources.

2. By the end of the hour, find one reliable source that has a thorough explanation of
a legitimate research study. Print only the page that contains the description of
the research study.
3. When done, continue researching and taking notes on your research.

1. Check for research study (10 points).
2. In groups, share research studies. Choose one person from each group to share
aloud.
3. Discuss topic analysis sheets.
4. Topic analysis sheets due @ the beginning of the hour tomorrow.
