INDIAN ARMY
10+2 TECHNICAL ENTRY SCHEME
Applications are invited from unmarried male candidates who have passed 10+2
examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for the grant of Permanent
Commission in the Indian Army.
ELIGIBILITY
Only those candidates who have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent with a
minimum aggregate of 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
AGE LIMIT
A candidate must not be below 16 ½ years and above 19 ½ years on the first day of the
month in which the course is commencing i.e. the candidate should not be born before 01
July, 1989 and not after 01 July, 1992.
METHOD OF SELECTION
Shortlisted candidates have to pass in two stage selection procedure based on
Psychological Aptitude Test, Group Test and Interview.

Applications are invited from Engineering male Indian citizens including temporary
Central/State Govt. servants, serving personnel of the regular Army and Territorial Army
(including officers of Territorial Army) and serving personnel of Navy and Air Force for
108th Technical Graduates Course (Jan 2009) and 32nd Short Service Commission
(Technical ) Course (Apr 2009).
TYPE OF ENTRY
1. TGC : (a) Engineering Graduates : Eligible for induction into all Arms/ Services.
(b) Post graduate (Non- Engineering) : Eligible for induction into the
Army Education Corps (AEC).
2. SSC(Tech.) : Eligible for inducting into all Arms/ Services

ELIGIBILITY
1. TGC (aa) For Technical Arms/ Services(Engineers) : A degree in Civil/ Electrical /
Mechanical/Computer Science / Telecom/ Electronics/IT/Architecture/
Public Health Engg./ Construction Engg./Industrial Engg. & Management.
(ab) For Army Education Corps : MCA or MA/M.Sc degree from a University
recognized by AIU in 1st or 2nd division in the following subjects : Political
Science, History, Geography, Chinese, Burmese.
(ac) For Military Farms : A degree in Dairying or a degree in Agriculture of a
recognized University with dairying as one the subjects or an equivalent
foreign qualification in agriculture.
2. SSC (TECH) : A degree in Engineering or equivalent degree from a recognized
University Civil/Electrical /Mechanical/ Computer Science / Telecom/ Electronics/IT/
Architecture/Public Health Engg. / Construction Engg.
AGE LIMIT
1. TGC (aa) For Engineering Graduates : 20 to 27 years. Born not earlier than 2 Jan, 82
and not later than 1 Jan, 89.
(ab) For Non- Engg Post Graduates (Army Education Corps) : 23 to 27 years.
Born not earlier than 2 Jan, 82 and not later than 1 Jan, 86.
(ac) Military Farms : Should be born not earlier than 2 Jan, 82 and not later than
1 Jan, 88.
METHOD OF SELECTION
Shortlisted candidates have to pass in two stage selection procedure based on
Psychological Aptitude Test, Interview and after that has to go for medical examination.
