Summary of conclusions and outcomes 2.1 The panel agreed to recommend approval of the BA (Hons) Mass Communications at INTI International College Penang from April 2014 for 6 years, subject to satisfactory annual monitoring. Any significant changes will require approval in advance. Revalidation will take place in the 2018/2019 academic year. 2.2 If the commencement of the BA (Hons) Mass Communications exceeds 6 months from the approved start date April 2014 then INTI International College Penang will need to confirm to the School of Humanities that resources remain in place for effective programme delivery. If the commencement of the BA (Hons) Mass Communications exceeds 12 months from the approved start date then the University reserves the power to call for a fresh validation event to be undertaken at the expense of INTI International College Penang. 2.3 Approval is subject to the following listed conditions. Recommendations The panel made the following recommendations: 2.13 To evaluate the effectiveness of the Student Representative System that is to be operationalised, paying particular attention to how students are prepared for and supported in this role. 2.13 To consider providing staff development support to the Vision College Programme team through CPAD and the Learning and Teaching Institute (LTI) at UH. Recommendations will be addressed within the first Annual Monitoring and Evaluation Report (AMER) for the programme.
