To Parents & Students.
When you come back from Spring Break you will be starting the 4th quarter. ARE
YOU READY? Are you ready for graduation (May 29th 2:30pm- UMBC)? Are you ready
to pass your classes and move to the next grade level? Are you ready to earn a 2.0 so you
can be eligible for FALL SPORTS?
Not only will you be in the 4th quarter but we will be moving into a very busy
testing window from now until the end of the school year. Please read below to be aware
of your responsibilities when it comes to the variety of testing.
April 13th, 14th, 16th, & 17th HSA



9 & 10th graders regular scheduled day
11th graders - Those that have never tested in ENGLISH10 or ALGEBRA 1
12th graders- Those that must test for the second time to be eligible for Bridge in English,
Biology & Algebra
APRIL 15th – SAT Day



9 & 10 graders will have a regular scheduled day
12th graders will have a College / Career day – this is your opportunity to go visit schools
or work sites. There will be no classes for grade 12
11th graders will take the SAT- this test will last from 7:30am – 12:45 pm. Lunch will be
at 12:45 for the testers then they will go to an assembly. There are no scheduled classes
only SAT testing for grade 11
May 4th thru June 1st PARCC




This is the second round of PARCC testing
Any student in English 10, Algebra 1 & 2.
During this widow students will test on two different days for the specific course
This is not an option---requirement to graduate.

May 4th thru May 13th AP Testing



Each AP class has its own test
Each AP test has a specific testing date.
LHS is assisting with the cost, you pay $12.00 per test--- See Mr. Johnson in guidance
May 14th Thru May 22nd Senior Finals




All 12th graders will take a final in each of their classes
Not taking a final will lower your overall letter grade on the report card.
Two D’s & two E’s for the year in a class means you MUST pass the final
One D & one E in Health or EPI means you MUST pass the final
May 18th thru June 4th HSA





9th & 10th graders in American Government &/or Biology class
11th graders that have not passed the Biology
10th grades that have not passed American Government test
11th graders that have not taken American Government test
These items are graduation requirements
June 16th thru 19th Finals






16th – A day all students (grades 9-11) will take their class final.
17th – B day all students (grades 9-11) will take their class final.
Make up days will be A-day 18th & B-day 19th
Not taking a final will lower your overall letter grade on the report card.
Two D’s & two E’s for the year in a class means you MUST pass the final
NO FINALS will be given early. If a student is unable to take the final during the last
week of school please follow the guideline below:
o Parents write a note explaining why
o Student give note to administrator
o Administrator will inform teachers
o Student will have to come to school during the week of June 22nd – 26th to take the
missing Finals / or by an appointment with the administrator.
o Report grade will be lowered one Letter grade until Final is made up.
