Spanish I
FIRST Semester “ Study guide”.
The Semeter exam will cover all the grammar, and vocabulary from chapter P (Primer Paso) and
Chapters 1-5. Year 2008-2009 Chap. 1-4
The exam will have 4 portions: Grammar exam: Multiple choice, Matching and grammar.
Speaking and writing Essays (about 5 essays).
The grammar portion will include conjugation of regular AR,ER and IR verbs, ser, estar and tener
(all in the present tense.) The format of the grammar portion will be similar to the practice
questions on studyspanish.com.
The multiple choice section will be similar to the practice tests called Self Test found on
pasoapaso.com
The matching portions will be about vocabulary. A good way to review for this section is to
download the flash cards from the Spanish net work folder at Concordia and review the flash
cards.
The essay portion will be similar to the speaking and writing portion of the practice exams in the
text book on pages 24,52,84, 116 148,178.
Note: there will be no cultural portion on the exam.
